Technical Reconstruction of Pan-Caribbean Sugar Company Limited Phase 1 Operates Successfully Edit Date：2015/01/22

      On 16th Jan 2015, an exciting news that technical reconstruction of Pan-Caribbean Sugar Company Limited, which was designed by GDE No.1 Engineering Design Department (refer as No.1 Dept), started operating in the evening on 12th Jan 2015, was heard from China National Complete Plant Import & Export Corporation (Group), China National Complete Plant International Sugar Industry Co., Ltd and China National Complete Plant Import & Export Co., Ltd.
      This project was being handled by No.1 Dept involving demolition of old thermal power station, update of equipments, newly added evaporator and shredder and refining construction for capability extension. It started to be designed from Oct 2013 and to be constructing from 15th Mar 2014. GDE sent more than 300 staff to the site for testing on Nov 2014. The test was successfully done and the system started running within only 2 months.
      It is another success of oversea project after the previous one of engineering contracting in Mali and this will benefit the Phase 2 and similar projects in the future with experience obtained from this project.
